I live in the bay area and go to Monterey often. This past weekend was my first time stepping into cool cat cigars and I must say that I was impressed. The selection, the staff, the atmosphere is top notch. Even my fiance, who has always disapproved of my affinity for cigars, was comforable there. My personal favorite cigar is what's called the "LSD" blend followed closely by the vintage Dominican. Overall, a 5 star establishment and now a permanent stop when I am in Monterey.

I was in Monterey recently and happened to walk into the store. I never heard of CoolCat cigards and was a bit leary, so I only bough 4.
Big mistake.
These little gems are wonderful and I just ordered a box of them. Absolutely fantastic! The sales person (sorry, I forgot your name) did a great job listening to what I liked and recommending what he thought I would like, even though our taste differs (at least that what he said). Tuned out he was righht on the money. Nothing but kudo's for the store, the sales person and of course: a most excellent cigar!!!

I have been an avid cigar smoker since the first time I walked into Cool Cat. Lloyd has done a great job with the selection offered in his store. Jim is a great guy and quite personable. Even with moving to Wisconsin 2 years ago, I still made a point of visiting Cool Cat when my wife and I visited in April this year. It was as if we had not been away at all. I am looking forward to getting my walk-in humidor completed in my home and filling it with Cool Cat cigars to enjoy with my family and friends. I am also anxiously awaiting my next trip to Nevada, to visit the new store in Virginia City. Kudos Lloyd, you have done a great job.

Dear COOL CAT'S, I was brought in to Cool Cats a few weeks ago and chose one of the Black Label Hondurans. I was amazed at the quality and rich taste. Today I came in to Cool Cats and purchased a 16 cigar sampler. I could not be happier. The staff, service, and quality of cigars is just incredible. I am so happy to have found this place and I am looking forward to returning.

I have gone to Cool Cats religiously since the first time I wandered into the store five or six years ago. Anytime I know someone is going through Monterey, I have them pick me up a few varieties of Cool Cats. The main reason I have to visit Monterey from Sonoma is for the Best Cigars available in NorCal.

I stumbled across your shop while in town enjoying the beauty of Monterey. I was impressed from the moment I stepped foot inside and the salesman was low pressure but friendly and informative.
Later on, I had an issue with a cigar, which actually turned out to be my fault, yet the owner was kind enough to be sure I was completely satisfied.
Quality product, excellent customer service, good prices... What more could you ask for?

Best I've had. I stumbled across Cool Cats while camping in Monterey area and i was pleasantly suprised with the quality of the cigars. Not being a connoisseur I'm a big fan of the flavored blends.

Found your store while seeing the sites in Monterey. The gentleman, behind the counter was very helpful and friendly. The cuban blend cigar he suggested was very good. My friend holds a resale license in Texas and has 4 retail sites, I am strongly suggesting to him to start carring this cigar.

I feel that a second testimonial is due. I have just received 10 of your Cuban blend cigars that were ordered on the same day of my last testimonial. (Quick delivery I must add). I have just smoked one, thus, I write. As my previous entry mentions, I have tried many cigars since my first Cool Cat trying to find "my" cigar. Cohiba Red dot, Arturo Fuente, Monte Cristo, and so on. BUT nothing compares to the Cool Cat Cuban blend. I like everything about it from the way it draws, to its unequaled taste and smell. Thank you for blowing away the rest of the competition and making my final decision easy. This is how your get customers and keep them. Quality DOES pay off!!

My girlfriend and I wandered into you store back in March while visiting Monterey. My girlfriend was immediately drawn to the rich scents of your flavored cigars sitting on the front counter. I had always wanted to try a cuban so we purchased a flavored cigar and 2 Cubans for myself. Since then, I have been trying to find cigars through various tabacco suppliers that have the same taste and richness that I recall as she and I smoked our cigars on Cannery Row that night. She and I will be returning to Monterey in July and Cool Cat Cigars is on our "to-do" list. I plan on stocking up while there and on-line in the future.

I visited Cool Cat Cigars around St.Pattys Day on my spring break "Eventure", I tried the Jamaican Churchill Cigar and it was a great experience. Entering the Cigar bar on Cannery Row is not an ordinary experience. I am in corporate, and travel frequently and to many locations across the states. I always make cigars an "end of the evening" stop wherever I am ,and I can not say I have found a more pleasant experience than the one I had at Cool Cat Cigars! I love the cigars, but the atmosphere and outstanding service I recieved is remarkable. Not only am I hooked on the aged Dominicans, my first stop on business will be to see Ann and buy a cigar. The woman is oustanding in her knowledge about cigars, her customer service is way beyond any cigar store I have ever been in, and believe me, I have been in a lot. I would love to have her in my company.! Please stop by this store. You will not be disappointed! I am a regular now!

I recently joined the locker club and I couldn't be happier. I've lived in Monterey for nearly 5 years; but it wasn't until I met Ann a few weeks ago that I seriously considered becoming a regular. Ann's unbelievable excitement and positivity made me feel right at home and I've wanted to spend every chance I get here. I appreciate her knowledge of cigars, every pick she's made for me has been fantastic. I especially enjoy the Vintage Dominicans and Jamaicans. This is one of the best decisions I've ever made and I look forward to a long relationship w/Cool Cat. My wife is so happy I've found a great place to relax (and stay out of her hair).Thanks Ann!!!

I was very impressed by the services that I received from one of the associates (Ann). Very courteous, knowledgeable and informative on the different typs of cigars that were available. The wide variety of cigars that are offered depending on your specific taste and occasion. I highly recommend the "Dominican Sandwich" for its "smooth", "mellow" and "rich" flavor! I will be a regular visitor! Thank you Ann for your expertise!

I make about four visits to Monterey each year and make Cool Cat Cigars, one of my first stops for a relaxing smoke. I was extremely impressed with the knowledge and friendliness of the staff. I highly recommend the 1996 Vintage Dominican and Dominican Sandwich. I look forward to my next trip in February.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff who helped me find exactly what i was looking for. The Nicaraguan blend I was introduced to will have me coming back for more. My wife and I recently visited your store on a weekend trip to Monterey. I was extremely impressed by the knowledge and friendliness of the staff and the recommendation of the 1996 Dominican Vintage Churchill was a revelation. I smoked it that night on the hotel blacony. I will definitely be ordering more of these exquisite cigars.

Me and my buddies were doing a road trip after senior year in high school through california and happened upon your shop in Monterey. We bought some cigars, and met Oyster, great time. We smoked them on the beach and it was one of the fondest memories from the trip. They are great quality cigars. Thanks for the memories.

Discovered your shop last year when I was visiting my grandmother in seaside for my wife's first trip to the west coast. What a treat!!!! Since, my grandmother has passed and I have been out to the area twice and have stopped in both times. The last time I became a Club Card member!! I will definitely start ordering online and hopefully will make a trip back soon. Your Staff is so friendly yet professional. Your flavored cigars (chocolate Macadamia nut) are my favorites!!! I was lucky enough to meet the owner of Cool Cat when we played a show at the Planet Gemini club upstairs... and even luckier to get some cigars from the shop... if you're in the area you must pop in get a good smoke and a good coffee and you're all set for a good day!

Quite simply a MUST stop whenever I visit Monterey. The staff is quite simply, amazing and the quality/selection of the cigars are top notch. I purchased the sampler pack and while all were fab, I was huge fan of the green label.

I haven't ever really gotten into cigars however on our recent trip to Monterey, my boyfriend, Matt, and I stopped in at the shop. Matt was extremely impressed with the service we recieved and it was evident how much the staff believe in their product. The orange label robusto turned out to be so smooth that we ended up going back for more. Matt is completely sold on the brand and I am enjoying them as well. Thanks!

I never have smoked cigars that I liked, especially not the normal sized ones. The Rootbeer Float flavor was delicious, and I actually smoked the whole thing at once. My husband loved the Cuban blend cigars, so have ordered more.

I am currently deployed in Mosul, Iraq. My sister in law sent me a sampler pack so I could properly celebrate the birth of my daughter. We religiously have Saturday Night Smoke out every week and like any gentlemen, I was obligated to share with my bretheren. They were all a big hit! My personal favorite is the Yellow Label. I have been a loyal Cool Cats customer for about 3 years and during that time I have not found a cigar with the taste and quality found at Cool Cats. Lloyd is great friend who knows how to put out a great cigar and treat his customers right. I refuse to endorse any other cigar or cigar dealer other that Cool Cat Cigars. TRY THE JAMICAN RESERVE BLEND. IT'S AWESOME!!

I've offically switched! For years I've been going to a certin shop in Salinas, well since I found Cool Cat I'll never go back. I know it sounds cheesey but the atmosphere, the people, and laied back non snobby attitude sold me. Every time I go in there I feel welcome and never feel belittled if I have a question or concerned. They have a wonderful selection and I can't say enough good things about these folks.

I've been taking my wife to Monterey for 7+ years now since being stationed in Fort Ord...when my brother peaked my interest in cigars (I don't smoke cigarettes). Since going to Cool Cats and talking with Lloyd, "Oyster" Bill, and now Jim, I've become somewhat of a cigar aficionado. I've smoked "other" cigars, some very expensive but none compare to Cool Cat's, particularly their Dominican Reserve...that is the best cigar I've ever smoked, strong but so smooth you'd never know it. Keep up the great work!

My husband and I used to be members at Cool Cats a couple of years ago when I was stationed at DLI. We have such good memories of the long afternoons we would spend in the store talking, smoking and playing chess. We have remained loyal customers after moving first to Florida, and now to Texas. They've make a great impression on everyone we've shared them with. Even the people that say they "usually don't smoke cigars" have liked them. We miss it! Wish there was a store out here!

Ahhh...the Cuban blend. This is probably one of the best of the lot. Creamy and vanilla smooth. To be enjoyed with a nice chocolaty or creme liquor. I smoked all my current stock in my humidor that I just ordered three more Churchill bundles!

Make way The king of strong cigars is here. The Cool Cat Cigars Maduro LSD! The LSD stands for Lingero Strong Dominican (the "S" used to stand for "Sumatran" which is not used in this version of the LSD cigar).
Lloyd says you have to sit down for this one and I agree. I have been searching for a strong powerful cigar that packs a wallop but has taste. If you have been looking for such a cigar, look no furthur.
I tried the Toro version of this cigar. This is a lush spicy cigar with hints of chocolate, annisette, pepper, and coffee. The wrapper has a slightly sweet and chewy texture, something definite to bite down on! I literally spent an hour enjoying this smoke! Great with coffee as an after dinner treat or combined with a sweet adult beverage aperatif (such as a heavy port wine or sweet liquer).
Grab that seat belt and enjoy a nice Maduro LSD from Cool Cat Cigars.

Wow. I used to be stationed at DLI right up the street from your location and stumbled past it one night down on the Row. I tried one of the Dominican Vintage 1996 Churchills at Oysters' suggestion and was hooked. I came back the next day and bought an entire box. Now that I found you on the web, I can enjoy your cigars again, despite being stationed elsewhere. Keep it up!
